SUSTAINABILITY

At Hawes & Freer we are committed to using our history of top notch service, industry expertise and reputation for transparency to foster a more sustainable world of textile solutions in New Zealand and worldwide.
Our owner / director Trevor is a stalwart of the industry and a founding member of Mindful Fashion NZ so it's safe to say that supporting the future and longevity of our domestic fashion and textiles industry is an absolute priority for Hawes & Freer.
We are constantly working towards improving our chain of supply and the textiles and trims we offer for more environmentally conscious options for both our retail and wholesale customers. In 2020 we introduced a full range of GRS certified recycled fusing / interfacing as well as the supply of GOTS certified organic cottons. We made these moves because it's what we want and what our customers want to.
In our Auckland warehouse we are always looking for ways to work better and more sustainably. Whether it's partnering with waste innovators Supertrash NZ to recycle our plastic into fencing or sending out your parcels in compostable packaging, every small move makes a difference!
